Spearfishing is an ancient way of fishing, for millennia has been used by humans in different ways, nowadays we practice this fishing method with elastic powered guns or slings and instead of using the deceit for catching your prey like in traditional fishing, we will teach you how to use your whole body and mind for hunting under the ocean. It is important to notice that spearfishing is the most selective and eco-friendly way of fishing. While spearfishing, you will be able to selectively hunt your prey, which involves knowing the difference between the local species, the age and size of the fish, and which fish is on season and which one is not.

In this adventure we will teach you all the basics that you need to know to have a successful underwater hunt! You will learn how to control your breathing, how to dive properly, how to give a good use of your gear, how to blend in and use the underwater environment to your favor, and of course, how to shoot!!

Punta Mita is well known for all the underwater structures made by coral and rock which are full of marine life and in optimal conditions to dive into your first spearfishing experience.
